The responses received are based on a random sample of victims of Burglary, Violence and Vehicle offences; and Hate Crime. Responses are gathered via telephone survey conducted by our Consultation Unit based on a nationally agreed question set. The responses are usually disaggregated by;

  • Age
  • Disability
  • Ethnicity
  • Religion or Belief
  • Sex
  • Sexual Orientation

At time of publishing it has not been possible to disaggregate this data by sexual orientation due to technical difficulties.

Every year, Devon & Cornwall Police produces information about our workforce mix. We are committed to increasing the diversity within our workforce to reflect our local communities. This is shown through our positive action work group and support provided to People Services who attend events and activities across the force. Devon & Cornwall Police wants to ensure we create an environment for our workforce where they feel comfortable in all areas of self-identifying within our monitored areas, particularly in terms of disability or sexual orientation.
